Marie Dranttel, CPA is a team.  There is a lot of action happening behind the scenes that most of our clients never see.  I am so fortunate to have my crew.  

Education / Background

I'm a Saint Peter-ite -- remember the hospital on Broadway -- that's where I was born.  
1979 Saint Peter High School graduate -- Go SAINTS!!!

1983 Minnesota State Mankato - BS Accounting -- minor Computer Science
   (yep 4 years -- no student loans -- worked hard)

1985 Olson & Olson -- 
1992 Passed the CPA Exam -- 
1994 Purchased the practice of Olson & Olson

and the rest is history 

... a couple of 100 year floods
... the 1998 tornado
... 2001 - purchasing the house and moving during the 9/11 chaos 
... a couple more 100 year floods
... and now the pandemic of 2020/2021

2010 - I was elected to the Nicollet County Board of Commissioners representing the 1st District -- ( the north one half of Saint Peter, Traverse and Lake Prairie Townships) .. I was re-elected in 2012, 2016 and 2020 -- running for office is most humbling  -- I am grateful for the support the residents of my district and proud to represent their needs and the needs of all residents in Nicollet County 

I've been known to do a little volunteer work over the decades == I volunteer because it feels good -- not for recognition -- you might have seen me at the Historical Society, the Food Shelf, the Food Distributions, Chamber Events - 

For 15 years I had a booth at the St Peter Farmer's Market -- I was the Watermelon Diva -- my family has raised the BEST watermelons since the early 1900's -- here in Traverse Township -- on the sand prairie -- good melons need the perfect dirt -- and they like our light sandy soils.  After 15 years of melons, pumpkins and squash -- I retired -- between the day job, the elected job, planting, weeding, harvesting, and selling the produce -- I was tired -- so I retired from the fun gig!  I miss the fresh air and good eats.
